This is a general overview of using the site. If you want to see more targeted information or ask questions, check out the help section of the forums.

Site Structure

On the left are the main navigation items. The main sections are listed with each of their sub-sections. Since a piece of content can be related to multiple categories of content, it might show up in multiple places. If you are logged into the site, the links from "Create content" down provide additional tools. forex

Create Content
Forum topic - Forum topics are items that do not directly contribute to the content areas of the site but might be more general discussion.
Page - If you see this item, you can create a page that is more a permanent addition to the web site.
Story - These are the main pieces of content that you might add to the site. They are the ones that might get put on the home page or get moved to the top of the different content sections. You can gain xp for submitting a story (more on xp later). what is cancer

Invite your friends and colleagues
Use this link to invite other people to become members of the site. You gain xp for inviting someone when they accept your invitation and join the site.

Use this page to edit your personal information.

Users by xp
This site uses an xp system to reward users for contributing to the value of the site. There are a variety of ways to gain xp, and we'll be adding more in the future. You gain xp for writing stories, getting new users to the site, and for other things. The people with the highest amount of experience show up on the "Highest Users" list.

Adding Content

To add content, click "Create content" in the navigation and choose the appropriate type of content item you want to create.

Title
This is the piece of information that identifes your content. Verbose is better than short in most cases. In other words, don't post "Question?" as your subject. Use "Who plays D&D?" instead.

Categories
Choose appropriate categories for your content. You can choose multiples by holding down CTRL while you click on each option you want to use.

Body
This is where the primary text of your content goes. You can use some basic HTML and most other text will get automatically formatted. For example, line breaks will remain in the final form.

Log message
Add any information you'd like to have available for the moderators to see.

Comment settings
Select whether you'd like to allow comments on your content. In general, you always want to allow "Read/Write" for comments.

Preview
Before you can submit your content, you have to preview it. If it looks good, click the Submit button at the bottom. Then you're done!
